Creative camps for curious kids.
Artificial intelligence is changing the world at lightning speed! During the AI camp, children get to discover how it works for themselves. In small teams, they dive playfully into the world of cutting-edge AI tools and their own creativity. They learn through play what AI is and what it can do, exploring drawing, writing, thinking, and even making music together with AI.
Creativity, technology, and teamwork take center stage as they build their own “AI Escape Room”: a clever, surprising experience, a space full of puzzles, stories, and technology. Every child finds their role and develops their talents, from dreamers to thinkers, from makers to problem-solvers.
After five days of experimenting, creating, and testing, the teams present their projects and creations in the iconic Wintercircus. A festive showcase for parents where everyone’s imagination and effort come together.
The program
Day 1 – Getting to Know AI: The children discover what AI is through a quiz, demos, and inspiration.
Day 2 – Designing Their Escape Room: Teams decide on the story, theme, and challenges they want to create. They choose which tools to work with and do initial tests.
Day 3 – Building the Challenges: Teams create their own rooms, complete with unique challenges and media: music, (visual) posters, puzzles, and a top-secret room code.
Day 4 – Testing & Finishing Touches: Teams experience each other’s rooms, check all puzzles and challenges, refine hints, and practice the final “escape room flow” until it’s ready to amaze the parents.
Day 5 – Showcase: Time for the Parents!: The camp concludes with a festive showcase in the beautiful Wintercircus. Parents play the final “AI Escape Rooms,” guided by tips and tricks from the children. We finish off with diplomas and applause!
For who and by who?
The AI camps are designed for curious, creative children in grades 4 to 6 (around 10 to 13 years old). Older participants are also welcome. Whether they enjoy drawing, gaming, puzzling, or storytelling, every child finds their role. Some design characters or sets, while others program a chatbot or create music with AI.
Quality is everything: each camp is closely supervised by a professional team of paid CodeFever teachers and assistants, with one supervisor for every five children and a maximum of 60 children per camp. This ensures each child receives personal attention and plenty of space to experiment.
Instructions during the camp are provided in Dutch, but all supervisors can also communicate in English.
Practicalities
The AI Escape Room Camp takes place over two different summer weeks:
- Monday, July 6 to Friday, July 10, 2026
- Monday, August 24 to Friday, August 28, 2026
The camp runs from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with extended care available from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
At full capacity, 60 children participate, supervised by 13 team members (camp director, teachers, and assistants).
Upon arrival and departure, parents can check their children in at the reception desk (or a table at the entrance), where they also sign the attendance list. A few weeks before the camp starts, you will receive all practical information, including the meeting point. The daily attendance list will be available at the entrance reception for parents to sign at drop-off and pick-up.
Children are dropped off and picked up at the Wintercircus via the entrance at Miriam Makebaplein 2, right next to the De Krook city library. This is the camp’s fixed meeting and reception point.
⚠️ Note: The Wintercircus has multiple entrances — only the Makebaplein entrance is used.
By bike: There is a spacious covered bike parking at De Krook, directly next to the entrance (levels –1 and –2, also suitable for oversized bikes). Access is via the bike ramp or bike lift at the square, or via Korianderstraat.
By car: The nearest parking lots are Parking Zuid (3 minutes walk) and Parking Sint-Pietersplein (10 minutes walk).
Camp Price: €315 for 5 days

Active members of Wintercircus Collective are eligible for a €20 discount using the code NEVERSTOPLEARNING. This code also reserves one of the 20 spots exclusively reserved for Wintercircus members. Membership will be verified by Wintercircus; the code is personal and must not be shared. Misuse of the code may result in cancellation of participation.
Parents will automatically receive a tax certificate, which can be used to claim a refund of €38.05 through their tax return (for a 5-day camp).
In addition, most health insurance funds provide an extra contribution of €5 per camp day (total €25).
